At Adelaide Brighton Cement, we are committed to continuously improving the way we communicate and engage with our local community.

We also aim to build strong communities within our local area by maintaining an active involvement in a range of community programs supporting local schools and sporting clubs, care agencies, a comprehensive community concerns feedback program and other local community services.

Adelaide Brighton Cement statement on COVID-19

Adelaide Brighton Cement continues to monitor COVID-19 updates and is making operational decisions as the situation evolves.

At this stage the Angaston operations will remain open as we provide materials essential to the continued operations of the construction and resources industries.

Our key operational personnel are working, so long as they are not in a high-risk category for their own personal health or have potentially been exposed to the virus.

The health and safety of our staff and the public remains our number one priority. All decisions are being made to keep our team and the community safe, in line with general guidelines and directives from the Government and Health Department.

As a precautionary measure we have had to delay upcoming tours and access to our sites.
Tours will be recommenced or rescheduled when we feel it is safe to do so.

We encourage local residents to use the community hotline to raise any concerns they may have. Please do not visit site, the Angaston site is now a secured site and unauthorised visitors will not be permitted to enter the premises.

We also wish to remind you that our community investment program is currently accepting applications. Please contact us for more information.

As a proud Australian-owned company employing approximately 1,500 people, we are committed to continuing our operations in the interests of our staff and our customers, particularly those in the construction and mining industries. We are all focused on maintaining operations for the benefit of the local, State and national economy.

These are uncertain and challenging times for us all, we wish you and your families well and hope you all stay well.

Adelaide Brighton has taken an important step towards a reconciled Australia, with the release of our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.

Since our inception in 1882 when William Lewis, a Welsh immigrant, officially opened the Brighton Cement Works, Adelaide Brighton has invested in Australian communities; creating strong futures for our employees while helping cities and towns prosper.

Like our founder and the communities in which we operate, our employees come from many different backgrounds and cultures. This is key to our continued growth as we foster a culture where we embrace difference.
